About IICS 1.3 Certified Refractory Inspector in accordance with the requirements of API Std 936 Annex C

IICS 1.3 Certified Refractory Inspector is generated to certify Refractory Inspector. You will be entitled to be entitled as IICS 1.3A Certified Associate Refractory Inspector and IICS 1.3 Certified Refractory Inspector.    

Eligibility

To be eligible for certification, candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Meet experience requirements
  • Meet medical requirements
  • Pass the eye test
  • Pass the written examination

(a) General Refractory Experience — Refers to installation activities related to refractory work. This may
include, but is not be limited to, hands-on experience and engineering design.

(b) Specific Experience in Refractory Inspection Activities — Refers to the quality control elements related to
refractory workmanship and/or materials

 

Medical Requirements

Certified Refractory Inspectors (IICS 1.3A or IICS 1.3) must be in good physical health, sufficient enough to handle the physical demands that refractory inspections require.

 

Exam Information

IICS 1.3A Certified Associate Refractory Inspector and IICS 1.3 Certified Welding Inspector

Pass mark is 70%. If the overall passing mark couldn’t get achieved the individual part, which has been failed shall be retaken.
